Excellent well researched, well written and well illustrated book. The author, Bert Moody was a railwayman for 37 years and has written extensively on Southampton Docks so the docks railways feature prominently including a mention, with photos, of the short lived train ferry line and marshalling yards from Southampton West (Central) to the ferry pier next to the Royal Pier in around 1920.
